What is a Subluxation?

What is Subluxation

Subluxation is when a vertebra in the spine become misaligned away from its regular position.

When subluxations occurs, it can cause a wide range of chronic pains and discomfort within a person and can arise due to anything from a minor slip to a full-blown car accident. Subluxated vertebrae will soon begin to put pressure on the body’s nerves, blood vessels, and many other systems throughout the body. This comes at a high price, as subluxation blocks the natural pathways and energy movement of the body and brain that the body needs to function correctly.

If subluxation goes unchecked, the regions of the body surrounding the affected area will soon begin to deteriorate. These degenerations can be more challenging to reverse the more that time goes on. This is because surrounding muscles and nerves begin to adjust and grow around the new shapes. The body is truly an extraordinary apparatus that will quickly start to accommodate problem areas by overcompensating in others. Visit your chiropractor if you believe you are heading towards irreversible damage in your nerves and blood vessels.
